The differences between a Project User and a Recipient can be confusing at first, but never fear - this article will explain everything!
| Project User | Recipient |
Login to SetKeeper? | Yes | Yes |
Add/Delete from... | Project Users page | People page |
Possible to edit email? | No | Yes |
Usual Role on Project | Production Department, Producers, Studio Execs | All other Crew Members |
Can be Admin? | Yes (optional) | No |
Recipient
A crew member who will receive information from the production
Stored on the People page:
Generally will not have a login or any access to the SetKeeper platform
It is possible to edit a recipient email address
When sending a recipient a message as a Password Protected Link or a Paperwork, they will be asked to create their Crew Personal Space
Project User
Appears on both the Project Users and People page (so that you can include them in your distribution messages)
Will have a login and access to your project on the SetKeeper platform
NOTE: you can be a Project User but not necessarily an Admin.
You cannot be an Admin without being a Project User
Delete (and edit) them from the Project User page. If you try and delete them from the People page, they will not be removed.
It is not possible to edit a Project User's email address because this is part of their login. If you want to change a Project User's email, add their new email as a Project User, invite them to the project, then delete their old email from the Project User page.
